This Just In...

Wow.

Um, hi.

So... Silas is busy right now. He's just, like, got stuff to do. He told me to give you guys the next few questions. So, like, here I am, to...

Sorry. I'm sorry. I guess I'm kinda nervous. All you folks paying attention to what I've got to say. Heh. I've never been famous before. I've only killed, like, four people. My ultimate aim is to kill 85 people, because then my bodycount will be in the 80s, which is, like, my favourite year for movies.

Silas wanted me to give you these clues all relating to serial killer movies, but I don't like them. I know, technically, I am one, and obviously I'm one of Silas's followers, but... but those movies scare me. So I've changed it, a little, and now all these clues are from 80's movies. Yay! So, uh, I'll begin before Silas comes back and figures out what I'm doing.

First of all, I want you to figure out how many letters in the thing that Goonies never say. Then I want you to multiply that by the year Marty McFly travels back to.

Got that? Good.

Now divide that by the number of letters in the place E.T. assured Elliott he will be.

"Elliottttt..." man, that movie made me cry.

Anyway, once you've done that, subtract the number of candles that Molly Ringwald had to deal with. With me so far? Keep that total.

Now get the difference between the year that we watched Darth Vader tell Luke the truth about his lineage, and the year the Lost Boys slept all day and partied all night. Divide that difference into your total, which brings you to a new total.

Clear? Good.

Now you're gonna have to multiply something. First number is the amount of Ghostbusters there were before they started hiring. The second number... heh. The new Star Trek film has an actor playing Khan with a ridiculously long name. But how many letters in the name of the actor who ORIGINALLY played him? When you have it, multiply those two numbers, and subtract from your total.

Now I want you to find out how many Krptonian criminals turned up to face Christopher Reeve's Superman, how many rules you have to obey if you want to own a Mogwai, and how many times you must say Beetlejuice's name if you want him to appear. Then multiply all those together, and subtract from your total once more.

Oh this is FUN.

How many letters in the missing word: "Bueller? Bueller? ____?"

Subtract it from your total.

How much time has passed for Indiana Jones between Temple of Doom and the Last Crusade? Add this number to what Daryl Hannah was in Splash, and subtract from your total.

And what you get, is the next number.

Seriously? Okay
My ded:

I hereby dedicate this page to maths, for without it, we wouldn't be able to make head nor tail of the clues given to us.
I would also like to dedicate this to the yes dance, which is probably the thing that keeps me most fit XD

I was studying Korean, and I read a story about a sick king who needed a rabbit's liver to live, and there was a questoon that said: how else could the king be healed? (Use your creative imagination!)
So I was like, "imagination, hmmm..."

In Korean, a liver is called "khan."
So obviously, I thought of STAR TREK AND BEN so I wrote, "Forgetthe liver! Kidnap Khan and marry Benedict Cumberbatch and all your problems will be solved."

Inky Flame said...

Hehe well done El XD

Hi anyone else get 118.39?

Mary Contrary said...

I'm good, thanks, Chloe. :)
I want a gif of that Star Trek moment, and I can't find one, so I've decided to try and make one myself. :P ^^

LOL, Elleni! xD
I haven't seen the reboot Star TRek, so I only know Ricardo Montalbán as Khan, but that made me laugh anyway. :P ^^

@Chloe: Yeah, I always found drawing SKulduggery hard, too. I guess it's not as though most of us see skeletons on a regular basis, and living skeletons less again. ^^

And - Poppity Ping? *laughs* I never heard that before, but it's cute. :P ^^

*nods* She probably still hates me. Well, as close to hatred as she comes. Interestingly enough, though, no one seems to have brought it up. I only know Aretha hasn't forgotten because I can access her mind so easily, sometimes without even meaning to. *sighs, gently leaning against her* In any case, nothing is going to happen just yet. I only wanted to let you know I've been thinking about it.

@Chloe: *laughs* :P
And, wow, that's still good. :O ^^
I have no idea how I did at all. But it's only short course Welsh, if it turns out badly, so I'm like, oh well. :P

@Star: *laughs* We had a lot of Welsh signing in primary school, but nobody ever knew what any of it meant. xD

Inky Flame said...

Our year where literally forced to take long course, we had no option which peeved me off

Jophiel said...

(Arrive Zaf!)

Star Inkbright said...

@Taia: XD

I wrote a thing, actually . . .

"It's quite amazing, though - the vicar person was just babbling on in Welsh and I was just sat there like . . . yeah . . . Welsh is a weird language . . . I don't understand a word you're saying . . .
And then he repeated it in English, and the thing is -
he could be saying the most beautiful things (he was, partly), and they could just be so :O and make you think, and -
and if he says it in English, you understand that, and you get that, but if he's speaking in Welsh -
it's the same voice speaking, the intonation rising and falling in a familiar way, and you're listening, your mind following his sentences, words, just words, words like you're used to, and it seems almost as if you understand, almost as if the words will take on meaning in your mind . . .
but there's a thin membrance separating them, and they slide past, and all of the beautiful meaning . . . it doesn't enter your brain. It's so close, so obvious, he's speaking to you -
but you don't hear it.

That was a metaphor, in case you didn't catch.
Sometimes people can be standing there saying the most beautiful things, or meaningful things, or wise things, or helpful things . . . but the membrane will just slide past your mind, possibly because you're a tree, and it's just sad, you know? :/"

The tree thing referring to another metaphor of mine. :P

Star Inkbright said...

I email this stuff to myself now. Then when I want it I can just search for it. XD

Dragona Pine said...

(You email YOURSELF? :P)

Mary Contrary said...

@Chloe: That sucks. D:
We could choose between short course or full course, thankfully. I have friends who took full course, and I'm glad I didn't have to. I mean, I was unhappy being forced to sit the higher tier paper - I don't know if I'd have SURVIVED full course. O_O
Still, I guess you get a better qualification out of it. ^^

Inky Flame said...

I guess but the teacher I had was... well:
I had her for 5 years and she put soo much pressure on us to get As instead of Bs as we were top set. Cos it was a partner thing and there were many possible things the exam could be, she had us to write convos for each. She marked mine and my partners (we are two laid back characters XD) and she said they were good. Then, when the time came to write them all out together in best, she said they weren't good enough cos they weren't in paragraph form and we only had that one lesson to do it. She told us this at the end of the lesson. She basically wrote ours. In my opinion, or original was better

Zanida: What are they?

Frigga: You may want to go meet the boys, Loki must be ready.

*She turned and wrapped Frigga in a tight hug. It was nice to have a mother figure in her life, even if she had only just met her*
Thank you so much, Frigga!
*She pulled away to look at Zanida*
They're really tight, really nice pants. I have spares in a safe house that I'll give to you when we return to Earth, okay?
*Her gaze drifted back to Frigga and her hands begun to shake*
Where should they be...?

Anonymous said...

(At my house)

Elleni the Ghost said...

I thought you described Viv to me

Anonymous said...

Yes, but how well can you draw it?

Mary Contrary said...

@Star: *blinks*
I got to the end and realised I was holding my breath reading that, like, wow.
I don't know how to add to that, but I really, really like what you said there. :')

It's like... There's a Welsh band called The Joy Formidable, and most of their songs are in English, but they have a couple of Welsh language songs - either a Welsh version of the English song, or an exclusively Welsh one.
And I'm going off track, here, but, it makes me think, like, you don't have to know what they're saying to listen to those songs. And it kind of makes you focus on the phonetics and the sounds, and the way the song sounds as a whole, rather than registering lyrics and instrumentation separately, kind of.
But at the same time, you're still aware of the vocals, and you're aware that they mean things, and the intonations, you can pick things up. And so it's not only like the ability of music to convey something, but also, like, the ability of the voice, even without knowing the words that they're saying. I don't know if that makes sense, and I think I'm missing something out, but I think it's cool, anyway. :) ^^

And also, can I ask, what's the tree metaphor? ^^

*laughs* See, I email to myself, but I email things that OTHER PEOPLE have said. :P

Star Inkbright said...

@Viv: But the beauty of email is that you can answer whenever you want . . . O_O

@Dragona: I mostly just copy and paste things I've said that I want to keep hold of, but yeah. :P I've tried properly talking to myself on email a few times. It's kind of nice coz there's no pressure and you don't have to worry what the other person is thinking, but I can never find anything to say . . . Talking to real people is much better. :/
Talking to yourself works if you think you're talking to someone else, but then it's kind of tricky, because you can't ďcide to do it. It just happens. Mostly when you go off on a tangent and people stop listening. XD

Inky Flame said...

I don't know what Viv would look like

Anonymous said...

@Star: but like, I'll wait and wait and then just as my battery is about to die,*ping*. A new email.

Anonymous said...

Just try it Inky.

Inky Flame said...

Oh Ok, Ill try after community farm tomorrow, before my golf lesson

Unknown said...

I believe the answer to be 185.
Goonies never say die = 3
Marty went back to 1955
3*1955 =5865
E.T says he will be in "you" so divide by 3, 1955
sixteen candles, 1939
The difference between star wars 5 and lost boys is 7
1393/7 = 277
3 ghostbusters, 16 letters of ricardo montelban, 48
277-48=229
3 criminals, 3 rules, 3 times, 27
229-27=202
bueller=7
202-7=195
3 years between indy, and daryl hannah was a mermaid=7
3+7=10
195-10=185.
This is for the people struggling, if you want to work it out yourself, please ignore

Star Inkbright said...

@Taia: Thank you. :) :)
And - that sounds really cool . . . :) :) :)
I want to listen to foreign music now :P
And - like Slipknot's Iowa! The second instrumental part where he's saying and whispering all this stuff and you're not sure what he's saying or if the words are even relevant - it's more about the overall effect it gives off and the sound of the words - like, you know what they're doing by the way he says them . . .

Although word choice is not irrelevant. :)

Ah, the tree metaphor's a bit mean really. :P Let me try and find it . . .

Star Inkbright said...

@Viv: :/ I get you . . .

Unknown said...

If i'm wrong on anything, please tell me, thanks

Star Inkbright said...

(And then in the three instrumental part of Iowa as well. Well, the third and fourth if there is a fourth.
*nods*)

Emerald Melody said...

I think you got it Dom!

These are definitely looking to be like co-ordinates. Possibly...

Inky Flame said...

OMG my mum is watching all star mr and mrs and all I can hear is hysterical laughter

Mary Contrary said...

@Chloe: Huh. That sounds a bit bad. :(
We didn't have that exam in short course, but I remember some friends preparing for it. ^^
I'm also not sure we HAD a top-set for Welsh. Just classes for people who refused to do it, and classes for people who didn't want to do it. :P
That meant that instead of pushing for higher grades, we got given enough to not fail, and only that. So when you've only been taught how to PASS, which is E-D level, and you suddenly get told that you ARE doing the higher-tier work, which below C is a fail, it's kind of difficult. My teacher was nice, and he was always like 'Oh, but you can do the higher, you can get an A* grade, you'll do fine I'm sure :):):)', and I'm sat there thinking, 'Thanks, sir, but, not if you don't teach me HOW.' :/ ^^

Inky Flame said...

I am a laid back person (as my mum will tell you)
but I will get worked up if pressurized, my bestie who is as hard as nails cried twice because of it

Star Inkbright said...

"Imagine [(s)he's] a tree. You can't really argue with a tree, or tell it to go away. [And you can try to move your]self away, but it's following [you] (it's a moving tree).
Which is why Hunter thinks it's best to just kill the tree and get rid of it, but the fact is, you can't do that, so you might as well just work on getting yourself [. . .] to ignore it and work around it.
But don't try and talk to it. Because talking to a tree is kind of stupid. It just kind of stands there not taking in a word and you just kind of look like an idiot."

That is possibly the meanest metaphor I have ever constructed.
Woah
I feel mean now. O_O

I hate it when teachers don't actually teach you. Hate it so much. :(

Inky Flame said...

Hmm, im attempting to draw Viv now, but I have no Idea what he looks like and I cant draw from my imagination -_-

Star Inkbright said...

I can't draw from my imagination very well either . . . :/

I also don't like drawing characters. :P

Mary Contrary said...

@Elleni: I didn't know you drew comics, but I just looked at your blog, and I liked what I saw. 'Welcome to Blogland'. It's pretty true. :P / :)

And, yay! on Harry Potter comics. I figured out how to draw Snape recently, and spent a week excitedly scribbling Harry Potter related things. I also discovered that my perception of Dumbledore is ODD. o0

@Star: :) :) :)
*nods enthusiastically*
I have another example, but I can't remember what it is. :P
OH WAIT.
YES.
It was Travis' The Last Laugh of The Laughter, and I was thinking about that exact thing the other day. I think I mentioned it on here before, actually, but a long while ago.
But, yeah. I get that, completely. :)

Jophiel said...

(I hope I do too... I have ski camp in a few days...))

Mary Contrary said...

@Star: *tilts head* That's pretty interesting, and probably true a lot of the time.
(I just re-read the first line, and at "You can't really argue with a tree, or tell it to go away", something in my head loudly protested that you CAN make a tree go away, otherwise how could people say "Make like a tree, and leave!"
And I kind of had to briefly explain the nature of puns to myself. xD (???))
(I don't remember what else I was going to say, now. Sorry. :P)

And- yeah. I mean, he did teach, but in the environment we were in, in a class full of people who did not care one bit about the language and did not want to be there... idk. How can you cater to A* grade needs, when 90% of your students still don't know how to translate "I was".
It's not so much a problem with the teacher, in this case, as with the system in general, at least in my school.
I could rant into depth about that, but I won't, because I'd rather just type smiles instead.

Star Inkbright said...

@Taia: I hate how accurate my tree metaphor is. But it is. :/

And - woah. O_O That'a such a good attitude . . . someone remind me to type smileys when I'm next annoyed. :) :) :)

I just hate not being taught properly . . . and yeah. That sounds really sucky. :/

Star Inkbright said...

@Death: Not really, but thanks. :) And I don't know. I admire you for multiple things. You're pretty awesome. :P

Mary Contrary said...

Hi, Snow! Those are good suggestions. :)
I'm not really partaking, because I'm me (:P), but equally, I'd be willing to offer suggestions if/where I could help. But, idk. *hovers uncertainly over the keyboard :P*

Star Inkbright said...

@Death: You're welcome. :)

@Dragona: I poof all the time. :/

@Snow: Blegh, school. -_-

Mary Contrary said...

@Death: Yes, you are. You're admirable because you're you. I don't know what the words are to put to that, I don't have the vocabulary to put to concepts so big, because I don't know how to say things. BUt you are. It's like how you're perfect, and I don't know exactly how or why that is, only that you are, because you're you. idk. But yes. YOu are. ^^

Np, Dragona. Welcome back. :)

Dragona Pine said...

@Death: :)

@Dragona: :P
I think that's the case with my presence a lot of the time, recently. :P ^^

Star Inkbright said...

@Elleni: WHY CAN YOU DRAW O_O O_O
And - LOL XD XD XD

Mary Contrary said...

BAH.
I want to draw something, but I'm too lazy to put the energy and effort into putting down the laptop and sitting up and finding paper, and finding more paper, and holding a drawing utensil, and applying imagination and basic anatomical knowledge and ideas, and making a thing. :P

@Star: That is a good quote. :0 ^^

@Star secondarily: YEs. Yes, it's that feeling exactly. :P

I'll come on then in the night for you. I'll be okay to do that.-Zaf

Mary Contrary said...

@Dragona: O_O

Star Inkbright said...

Inkheart is really great. :)

It basically describes writing so well. :O You wonder why no other writers write about writing. After all, they all write. :P
Plus, you know, it's beautiful. And plot and characters and :). :)

Star Inkbright said...

@Dragona: You swallowed a MOTH? O_O

Zanida: Are you ready, Rose?

Jophiel said...

7am is my 9pm. I should be able to do that.)

*She looked at herself before nodding to Zanida*
I... I think so... I'm nervous. Something will happen. Something bad is going to happen. Maybe this is a bad idea...

Mary Contrary said...

@Dragona: ...That sounds unfortunate. :S

(I just found my own Harry Potter scribbles, and am reminded once again why I should not be allowed to draw after 2AM. O.o)

Zanida Laufeydottir Queen of Asgard (Zafira Kerias) said...

Zanida: No, it is not. *takes her to the boys, Thor looking at Zanida happily, Loki going over to Rose*

Where do you wish to go, Rose? The royal lovebirds decided to let you decide.

Jophiel said...

*She looked at him worryingly*
I... I don't know... I honestly don't know... Um...
*She looked around and shook her head*
Any suggestions...? I don't even know what kind of food you eat here!

Zanida Laufeydottir Queen of Asgard (Zafira Kerias) said...

To be honest, Rose, we usually have feasts.

Thor: That is usually where we go, so we can go down. I prefer it down there.

Zanida: Thor, you would eat everything, you're always hungry.

Thor: *gently* Yet, I am yours.

Jophiel said...

Of course. Feasts. You Gods and your feasts... Lets do that then, okay?
*She looked Loki up and down and smiled*
You look rather dashing, sir.

Zanida Laufeydottir Queen of Asgard (Zafira Kerias) said...

*takes her hand* You look ravishing as well. *smiles and follows Thor and Zanida*

Thor: I do like having my queen with me.

Zanida: *kisses cheek* I am yours.

Dragona Pine said...

(... And now I am mentally disturbed. This is why cleverbot should never think for itself.)

Dragona Pine said...

(Seems I have to go now. Bye!)

Mary Contrary said...

Dragona: *laughs* :P
Aw, bye! ^^

(Dammit, I just remembered that line from Star Trek and I'm crying again. I don't even know why it's so funny, I just, omg. XD)

Zanida Laufeydottir Queen of Asgard (Zafira Kerias) said...

Zanida: *walks with Thor, around the lake still afraid to go near anyone*

Thor: I have you, Zanida. I promised you I would never hurt you.

Zanida: I don't want to be like this, Thor. I want my magic back.

Thor: We wilk talk to Alastair, perhaps the fact you just want to go home and be the warrior you were, he may agree to go back in time. *kisses cheek* You must understand I may have to train with you in the new way.

Zanida: I stilk have my Frost Giant abilities....he didn't take that.

Thor: Loki researched it, and it is not your magic, your magic is your fire. The ability to form ice is part of you, he cannot take your ability to run, that's what ice is like.

Zanida Laufeydottir Queen of Asgard (Zafira Kerias) said...

Zanida: Good. I'm not totally defenseless.

Thor: You are my queen, and Loki and I trained you, I love you.

Zanida: *smiles* Can we fly?

Thor: Where to?

Zanida: Anywhere, just I want to be with you right now.

Thor: Alright. *pulls her close in one hand, and uses the other to swing his hammer until they are flying above Blogland, looking at it from the sky*

Zanida Laufeydottir Queen of Asgard (Zafira Kerias) said...

Zanida: *smiles, laughing too* I love it up here!

Thor: I always knew you did. *they fly for a while, then land by the lake again, Zanida grabbing logs and making a fire*

Zanida: I miss Asgard, it is so pretty up there.

Thor: Indeed, and I believe that we will return. We can fly through the moutains, and see whatever you like in our realm.

Zanida: I will. I want to be with you, my time on Midgard taught me to value living with you.
